Ubisoft announced today that Trollz: Hair Affair will be available for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance in the fall of 2005. The game is a magical action/puzzle game featuring the popular toy Trollz and their world of fashion, friendship, and magic.
Players meet and interact with Amethyst, Sapphire, Onyz, Ruby, and Topaz who can fly, dance, and play in the wonderful world of Trollzopolis.
But all is not well in the land of Trollzopolis. The Trollz’ frolicking is brought to a sudden halt when the most popular senior boys are falsely accused of cheating! These boys are going to be sent to military school and have all their hair shaved off if the Trollz do not do something to stop this terrible fate. Using their fashion, friendship, and magic powers, they must go back in time and save the boys before it is too late!
Each Troll has a different power creating a different game for each Troll. Amethyst can fly, Topaz can untangle hair patterns, Ruby can teach dance moves, Onyx can shoot spell beadz, and Sapphire plays memory matching. The Trollz interact in non-competitive ways and can even interact in a BFFL (Best Friends For Life, duh!) gameplay where the players earn power-ups from their Trollz friends. They can use these at any time to get a boost which will bring them one step closer to rescuing the boys. And we can’t forget to mention that players can customize their Trollz’ outfits by mixing and matching shoes, tops, and pants that must be unlocked during the game.
"Trollz: Hair Affair will engage players with its magical storyline and features gameplay themes that today’s girls love," said Tony Kee, vice president of marketing, Ubisoft North America. "Whether it’s shooting spell beadz, matching dance moves or experimenting with the latest fashions, girls will love interacting with their favorite Trollz on the go."
