QuakeCon 2005, the nation’s largest and most legendary video game festival and tournament, is expected to gather more than 6,000 gamers in Grapevine, Texas from August 11-14. The tenth annual QuakeCon will unveil Quake 4 and have the first showing of Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil for the Xbox.
Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil is the expansion pack for the Xbox that will increase the game’s action with a new storyline, six new demons, sixteen-player multi-player action, and new weapons like a double-barelled shotgun, a gravity-defying "grabber", and a time-manipulating "artifact". Players will also be allowed to possess demon powers after defeating bosses.
Quake 4 will still use deathmatch-style multiplayer gameplay. Players can play in Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Arena, CTF, and Tournament modes on the Strogg or Marine teams.
Quake 4 and Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil are both rated M for Mature.
