Spy Hunter is back with a new addition called Spy Hunter: Nowhere to Run. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has been cast as the lead character, Alex Decker.
Few details have been released about the game. It will be a third-person, on-foot combat game featuring the vehicle Interceptor. The evil NOSTRA corporation has returned to stop new technology. The game appears to be a tie-in with the Spy Hunter movie that releases next year.
"Midway is committed to delivering ground-breaking games along with great entertainment. We’re thrilled to announce that one of Hollywood’s most popular acting talents will star in the next installment of the world-famous Spy Hunter series," Martin Spiess, Managing Director of Midway Europe, stated. "By using a multimillion-dollar superstar to play the lead role, as well as delivering a revolutionary action game, we provide consumers with both unmatched production values and breathtaking gameplay. Thus Spy Hunter: Nowhere to Run truly marks the transition into the next generation of video games."
That said, the game is in development for the current generation consoles, PlayStation 2 and Xbox. It is set to be out next summer.
